Abstract

The invention provides a method for estimating a velocity of a marine moving ship target by utilizing an SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar). The technical scheme is characterized by respectively adopting FrFT (Fractional Fourier Transform) on a front view image and a rear view image which are obtained by utilizing the SAR, thus obtaining orientation radial modulation frequency estimation of a corresponding moving ship target echo signal; carrying out ATI (Along-Track Interferometry) processing on the front view image and the rear view image, thus obtaining corresponding ATI phases; solving an equation set, thus obtaining estimation on a direction radial velocity, a distance radial velocity and an acceleration of the moving ship target. By adopting the method for estimating the velocity of the moving ship target by utilizing the SAR, provided by the invention, additional parameters or conditions are not required to be set, and the method is simple and easy.
