Abstract

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and devices for communication and corresponding communication systems. In a communication method implemented in a macro base station, configuration information related to a UL reference signal to be transmitted by a UE is sent to a candidate small cell among a plurality of small cells. The configuration information is used by the candidate small cells to receive UL reference signals in order to determine channel state information, and the channel state information indicates the channel quality of the channel between the UE and each candidate small cell.
