Abstract

The invention discloses an OFDM-PON (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed-Passive Optical Network) system based on on-off keying (OOK) optical modulation, which comprises an OLT, an ODN and multiple ONUs, wherein the ODN comprises a power distributor; the OLT comprises first signal transmitting and receiving devices; each ONU comprises second signal transmitting and receiving devices; first and second signal transmitting devices transmit optical signals modulated with OOK signals to second and first signal receiving devices respectively, and the OOK signals are modulated by OFDM signals; first and second signal receiving devices receive optical signals, and the OFDM signals are obtained through demodulation; and the power distributor distributes optical signals transmitted by the OLT to the multiple ONUs, and the optical signals transmitted by the multiple ONUs are synthesized to one path to be outputted to the OLT.
