Abstract

The present disclosure relates to methods for classifying objects using path history data during vehicle-to-vehicle communication. A method for classifying objects using path history data during vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication of a V2V communication system includes the steps of: receiving path history data from an opposing vehicle; a longitudinal distance of the ego vehicle to the opposing vehicle; and classifying the target position of the opposing vehicle based on the calculated longitudinal distance using path history data.
