Abstract

The invention provides a method and system for long-distance transmission of medical images. The method comprises the following steps of: monitoring a message, sent by an image workstation, for requesting a DICOM file; obtaining patient information, a source IP address and a source AET carried in the message; reading configuration information of a PACS and table information related to the patient information from a pre-configured data dictionary configuration file according to the patient information, and constructing a query statement from the patient information and the related table information; establishing connection with the PACS according to the configuration information, and querying a DICOM file storage path list according with the conditions from the PACS by using the query statement; obtaining a pre-stored image workstation configuration file from the PACS according to the source AET, and creating a network connection socket of the image workstation according to the configuration file; and downloading a DICONE file from the PACS according to the DICOM file storage path list, and returning the DICOM file to the image workstation through the network connection socket. According to the method and system, the long-distance safe transmission of examination data of patients can be realized.
