Abstract

The invention discloses a method for controlling access point operation in a wireless communication system. According to the invention, an access point (AP) operation control method of an AP in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system and an apparatus therefor are provided. The method includes receiving connection related information with respect to the AP and at least one terminal, based on the connection related information, determining whether the AP is a dummy AP, and based on a result of the determination, performing a coverage hole detection and correction related operation for the AP. Also, provided are a method and an apparatus for operating an AP controlled by an AP controller (APC).
