The present inventors have developed novel systems and methods for mitigating the effects of these errors. Certain aspects of the systems and methods are implemented on the transmitter side, while other aspects are implemented on the receiver side. Abstract

Systems and methods for rendering content at a digital radio broadcast receiver system are described. A digital radio broadcast signal includes data for rendering content at a digital radio broadcast receiver. Digital radio broadcast signals are processed to determine whether data from digital radio broadcast transmissions contains data errors. Identify a portion of the data that contains data errors. A download request is sent to the computing system, wherein the download request requests duplicate data for the portion of the data that contains the data error. Repeated data for data portions containing errors is received at a digital radio broadcast receiver via wireless communication other than digital radio broadcast. Duplicate data is handled to provide uninterrupted presentation of content.
