Abstract

An ice making device for a refrigerator includes ducts providing a cold air flow path under an ice tray in which water is converted into ice cubes. An uneven portion extending in a direction different from the direction in which the cold air flows is formed on the lower surface of the ice tray. The pipe may have a corrugated surface. The surface features of the ice tray and the duct can advantageously increase the contact area and contact time between the cool air and the ice tray, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency between the cool air and the water contained in the ice tray.
