The invention discloses a processing method and system for SSD failure in an SSD cache. The method comprises the steps of judging whether the SSD failure occurs or not according to a status of a status flag of a cache volume; and if it is judged that the SSD failure occurs, performing automatic recovery of SSD cache acceleration, wherein an SSD is located in a cache pool, and the cache pool and the cache volume are pre-created. When the SSD failure occurs, a storage system obtains the status and synchronizes the status to the cache pool and the cache volume, so that whether the SSD failure occurs or not can be judged by using the status of the status flag of the cache volume. When the SSD failure occurs, the SSD cache acceleration is automatically recovered. Therefore, the detection capability of the storage system is effectively improved; and the reliability of the storage system is improved through a cache automatic recovery policy, so that the user experience is better.
