Abstract

The invention relates to the field of agricultural technology and discloses a giant embryo rice seed soaking treatment method. The method comprises (1) soaking giant embryo rice seeds in water and (2) immersing the seeds for 40 to 60h, wherein in immersion, water is replaced every 10-15h. The giant embryo rice seed treated by the method has a germination rate of greater than 93% and an emergence rate of greater than 86%. The method does not need special devices and extra equipment, pesticide and a mutagenic agent in seed treatment, is free of airing in the sun in immersion, is simple and easy, reduces a cost and labor, satisfies operator work and rest time requirements in operation and can be widely used in giant embryo rice production.
