An interaction request which is sent by a first client is used for carrying out video chat interaction with a second client is received; first interaction information is encrypted through utilization of a private key corresponding to the second client, thereby forming a first encrypted ciphertext; and the first encrypted ciphertext is sent to the second client, so the second client carries out decryption through utilization of a public key corresponding to the private key. Other client does not have the public key corresponding to the private key, so even if the first encrypted ciphertext is obtained by the other client, the first encrypted ciphertext cannot decrypted. Moreover, second interaction information is encrypted by the second client through utilization of a shared key, thereby forming a second encrypted ciphertext, the second encrypted ciphertext is received, and the second encrypted ciphertext is forwarded to the first client. The shared key is the shared key obtained based on the private key generated by the second client and the public key generated by the first client, so the second encrypted ciphertext also cannot be decrypted by a server.
