Abstract

A safety belt locking test device comprises a fixed frame and a movable frame. The Emergency Locking retractor (ELR) of a safety belt is connected with the movable frame. The test device further comprises a weight, wherein one end of a hanging rope is connected with the weight and the other end of the hanging rope is connected with a driving rope sheave; a transmission shaft provided with a gear;a rocking crank connected to the transmission shaft; a handle hinged to the fixed frame and equipped with teeth meshed with the gear; and a stay rope having one end connected with the rope sheave andother end connected with a safety belt hook. The safety belt locking test device generates acceleration mainly by using a gravity-driven approach in order to detect the locking performance of the safety belt, eliminates a variety of intermediate transmission mechanisms and electronic sensors compared with a conventional test bench, is simple and quick in operation, stable in output acceleration, improved in detection efficiency, reduced in test cost, and is increased by over 40% in test efficiency than a conventional test device.
