The invention discloses a software program click rate prediction and sorting method. The method includes: acquiring a software recommendation request with basic user information data; converting the basic user data into binary variables of 0 and 1; and using the binary variables, which are obtained by conversion, as feature dimensions of a model to substitute the same into the pre-generated analysis model to obtain a tendency score of a user on each piece of software by analysis, and determining to-be-recommended software on the basis of the tendency score, which corresponds to each piece of the software, according to a preset analysis rule, and sending, to the user, a message of recommending the determined software. The invention also provides a server which is suitable for use with the above-mentioned method. The method and the server can obtain the software, which the user may be interested in, by analysis on the basis of the basic information data of the user.
