[0118] (Examples 1, 2 and 4, and Comparative Example 1)

[0119]

[0120] A PEF composition consisting only of 100% bio-based PEF (Mw: 75,600) with an intrinsic viscosity of 0.76 dl / g was melt spun by passing it through a 96-hole die at an extrusion temperature of 275°C. The resulting 96 filaments were bundled into an undrawn yarn, which was continuously drawn without recovery, and wound up to obtain a PEF raw yarn having a denier of 1,100 dtex (11.5 dtex per filament). The draw ratio and spinning draft are shown in Table 1. The time from completion of extrusion of the filaments in the spinning step to initiation of drawing of the undrawn yarn is not longer than 10 seconds.

[0121]

[0122] The first twist and the second twist of the two PEF raw yarns thus obtained were twisted together at a twist number of 47 turns per 10 cm length to produce a fiber having a fineness of 1,100 dtex / 2 and a twist number of 47×47 (turns / 10cm) ) of tire fibers.

Embodiment 3

[0128] A PEF raw yarn and a tire were obtained as in Example 1 except that 100% bio-based PEF having an intrinsic viscosity of 1.10 dl / g was used.

Embodiment 5

[0130] A PEF raw yarn and a tire were obtained as in Example 1 except that 100% bio-based PEF having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.40 dl / g was used and the spinning draft was set to 700.

Abstract

An objective of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a PEF yarn, said method making it possible to obtain a PEF yarn having a high storage modulus. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a PEF yarn having a high storage modulus. An additional objective of the present invention is to provide a tire having improved uniformity and high speed endurance. This method for producing a PET yarn which is a polyethylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate (PEF) yarn is characterized by including a drawing step in which an undrawn yarn formed by melt-spinning a resin composition that includes PEF is drawn to obtain a PEF yarn, wherein the drawing ratio in the drawing step is greater than 6.0.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to a method for producing polyethylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate (polyethylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate, PEF) raw yarn, the PEF raw yarn, and a tire. Background technique [0002] Synthetic fibers made of nylon or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) have been widely used as fibers for reinforcing cords of tires and the like. However, these synthetic fibers impose a large environmental burden since they are produced from raw materials of fossil origin. [0003] This has led to the recent development of fibers produced from raw materials of natural origin for use as fibers with little environmental burden. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses fibers (PEF fibers) made of polyethylene 2,5-furandicarboxylate (PEF).
