Abstract

The invention discloses a method for reducing data transmission delay by adopting a dynamic duty cycle by a wireless sensor network. In data transmission of the wireless sensor network of periodic working and sleep alternate working modes, the main constitution of the data transmission delay is the sleep delay, that is, when a transmission data node needs to transmit data, the time for waiting fora relay node to wake up is required. The method of the invention adopts a smaller duty cycle in a near base station area, and a larger duty cycle in a remote base station area according to the characteristic that the energy consumption of the sensor network near a base station is high, and the energy consumption of the sensor network away from the base station is residual, therefore, the networkdata transmission delay can be greatly reduced on the premise that the network lifetime is not reduced. The innovation of the method is to break through the method of using the same duty cycle in theprevious strategy and accurately give the values of the duty cycles of different areas of the network, and compared with the previous strategy, the network delay is greatly reduced without reducing the network lifetime.
