Abstract

A BMC (baseboard management controller) IP address management terminal comprises a display unit, a storage unit, a judgment unit, and a display unit. The management terminal is in communication connection with a plurality of servers, and each server comprises a BMC. The storage unit stores a BMC IP address relation table, and the BMC IP address relation table indicates the identification information of the servers corresponding to different ports of a plurality of switchers and the BMC IP addresses which are configured by the servers. The judgment unit is used for comparing the BMC IP addresses, transmitted by the servers, of the server with the BMC IP address which is correspondingly configured by the port corresponding to the identification information of the switcher connected with theserver and the port address information and is transmitted by the server in the BMC IP address relation table and determines whether the BMC IP addresses are consistent or not. The display unit displays the identification information of the server when the BMC IP addresses are not consistent. A method for managing the BMC IP is also disclosed.
