Abstract

To provide a rotating electrical machine stator capable of suppressing mechanical influence of thermal expansion / contraction of a fixing member on a temperature detection element, said fixing member fixing a temperature detector. A rotating electrical machine stator of the present invention is provided with a stator coil; a temperature detection unit having a temperature detection element; a protection member, which covers the temperature detection unit, and which extends in the long-side direction; and a fixing member to be an aligning mechanism for the temperature detection unit with respectto the stator coil. The fixing member has a sandwiching unit for fixing the protection member, and the sandwiching unit sandwiches the protection member at a position not overlapping the temperaturedetection element in the long-side direction of the protection member.
