Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: mixing silicon carbide, aluminium hydroxide, graphite and starch in a ball mill, to obtain a mixture; pouring the mixture into a mortar, adding 5wt% of PVA water solution to the mixture, using as a forming binder, uniformly mixing, and pelleting; forming according to a shape design, placing in an oven in a temperature of 95-100 DEG C, and drying for 8-12 h; and warming in a speed of 3 DEG C / min, keeping the highest firing temperature of 1300-1400 DEG C for 120 min. The saturated oil absorption of the SiC porous ceramic material prepared by the method reaches 35-45%, the rupture strength reaches 15-35 MPa, theaverage heat conductivity (a temperature range is 25-500 DEG C) is 2.5-4 W / (m*K), the SiC porous ceramic material is not cracked by 50 times of heat shock circulation from a room temperature to 400 DEG C, and the rupture strength is improved to some extent.
