Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of crop genetics and breeding, and provides a marker for judging thousand-grain weight of wheat plants and an application thereof. The marker is a CAPS marker, named JHMfeI, and its sequence is shown in SEQ ID NO.1. The wheat genome was amplified by using marker primers JHMfeI-F: GGAGGAAACAAAGTGGTC, JHMfeI-R: GAGAAGAGGAGGTCGTAG, to obtain amplified products. Among them, wheat plants carrying JHMfeI‑a type (amplified product fragment size of 399bp and 90bp) had higher thousand-grain weight than wheat plants carrying JHMfeI‑b type (amplified product fragment size of 489bp). The CAPS marker JHMfeI developed by the invention can effectively distinguish between high and low thousand-grain weights, is used for high-yield molecular aggregation breeding of wheat, and broadens the genetic basis of wheat breeding materials.
