The examples described herein illustrate that the disadvantages associated with vacuum dryers can be overcome by using a dryer in which material is dried in the presence of an inert gas or air that has been filtered to remove carbon dioxide. This gas / air may then be provided at about standard pressure, such as one atmosphere. For example, this can significantly shorten the drying process and / or can increase production efficiency.
