The transcript selector faces a distributed type key value storage system in a data center; a multilayered network topology based on a tree structure is used by the data center; hardware composition of the transcript selector comprises a programmable exchanger and a network accelerator, wherein one or more network accelerators are directly connected with one programmable exchanger to form the transcript selector; software composition of the transcript selector comprises a forwarding rule and an executor, wherein the forwarding rule is operated on the programmable exchanger and is responsible for forwarding a data packet; the executor is operated on the network accelerator and is responsible for selectinga transcript for a distributed type key value storage request. According to the transcript selector disclosed by the invention, a programmable capability of the programmable network equipment is utilized and a task selected by the transcript is transferred to the network equipment from a terminal host, so that the probability of a sheep-flock effect is reduced; different data packets formats aredesigned for a NetRS request and an NetRS response respectively, so that extra network overhead caused by utilization of a NetRS protocol is reduced.
