The method comprises the following steps: obtaining the size and quantity of all glass pieces to be cut and all glass original sheets; randomly generating initial population; determining the size of the largest rectangle in the glass scrap corresponding to each original glass sheet; stratifying all the N individuals in the initial population, wherein each layer includes more than one individual, and the excellent degree of the individuals with lower layers is higher than that of the individuals with higher layers; acquiring the aggregation distance of each individual in each layer; screening M individuals in the initial population; enabling M individuals to be crossed and mutated to form a mutant population; combining the initial population and the mutant population to generate the population R; carrying out stratification of all individuals in population R; according to the stratification results of population R, selecting the N individuals with the highest excellence degree; determining the N individuals as the glass typesetting form to be selected by the user.
