Embodiment Construction

[0053] figure 1 A hearing device 2 is shown, which is intended for a hearing-impaired user. The hearing device 2 has a plurality (here two) of microphones 4 by means of which acoustic signals from the environment are received and converted into electrical audio signals A. The audio signal A is forwarded to the control unit 6, where it is corrected according to the user's requirements, usually amplified. The corrected audio signal A is forwarded from the control unit 6 to the earpiece 8, which converts the audio signal A into a sound signal S again and outputs it.

[0054] The hearing device 2 is presently a BTE hearing device which has a housing 10 located behind the user's ear and a sound tube 12 via which the sound signal S is output from the earpiece 8 to the ear. Alternatively, the hearing device 2 is an RIC hearing device in which the housing 10 is likewise worn behind the ear, but in which the earpiece 8 is inserted into the ear and the sound tube 12 is then replaced b...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for characterizing an earpiece (8) in a hearing instrument (2). The earpiece (8) has a response characteristic (V, V'). The earpiece (8) converts the electrical audio signal (A) into a sound signal (S), wherein a magnetic field (M) is generated. The magnetic field (M) is measured by means of a magnetic field sensor (14). The earpiece (8) is characterized by determining a response characteristic (V, V') of the earpiece (8) based on the measured magnetic field (M). Furthermore, it relates to a hearing device (2) and a testing device (20) for the hearing device (2).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for characterizing an earpiece in a hearing device, wherein the earpiece is embedded in an environment and has a response characteristic influenced by the environment. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a hearing device and a testing device for a hearing device. Background technique [0002] Hearing devices are commonly used for hearing impaired users. For this purpose, the hearing device has a microphone for receiving sound signals in the environment and for converting the sound signals into electrical audio signals. This electrical audio signal is sorted by means of the control unit, usually amplified, and forwarded to an earpiece, which converts the sorted electrical audio signal back into a sound signal and outputs the sound signal to the user. Correspondingly, the earpiece uses a magnetic field to convert electrical current into motion. Therefore, the earpiece is also called an electroacoustic transduce...
