Abstract

The invention relates to a kit for synchronously detecting paddy rice grain width genes GW5 and GW8 and a multiple PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) detection method, and belongs to the technical fieldof agricultural biology. The kit for synchronously detecting the paddy rice grain width genes GW5 and GW8 comprises a GW5 gene specific primer, a GW8 gene specific primer, a 2*Taq Master mix and a DNAmarker. By utilizing the kit and the multiple PCR detection method of the invention, by optimizing a PCR reaction system and program, the multiple PCR method capable of synchronously detecting the GW5 and GW8 genes is established, and two target genes can be detected by virtue of one-step PCR reaction. The method is simple in operation procedures, low in cost, short in detection time and capableof improving the detection efficiency and providing evidence for molecular marker assisted breeding and variety improvement of paddy rice varieties with high quality and high yield.
