The present disclosure relates to detection of intermodulation problems and transmission scheme configurations to remedy intermodulation problems. Apparatus, systems and methods for a wireless device to detect intermodulation problems and configure a transmission scheme to remedy the detected intermodulation problems. A wireless device may perform measurements on a downlink carrier while an uplink carrier is scheduled for the wireless device. The wireless device can also perform measurements on a downlink carrier while scheduling two uplink carriers for the wireless device. The wireless device can provide information based on those measurements to the serving base station. The base station can determine that an intermodulation problem is occurring at the wireless device based on the provided information, and can configure the wireless device to use a single uplink carrier at a time based at least in part on the intermodulation problem.
