Abstract

A sterile adapter assembly is disclosed herein. The sterile adapter assembly comprises of a housing and a floating plate positioned within the housing. The sterile adapter assembly further comprises of at least one rotatable body having a circumferential surface affixed on the floating plate. The at least one rotatable body has at least one opening capable of receiving at least one pin of a driving element of an actuator assembly. The sterile adapter assembly further comprises of a compression mechanism positioned inside the at least one rotatable body to align the at least one pin of the driving element of the actuator assembly with the at least one opening of the at least one rotatable body.
