Abstract

The scale inhibitor is anethylenediamine tetraacetic acid-diethanol amine polymer obtained by dispersing ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and diethanol amine serving as raw materials in N,N-dimethylformamide and taking phosphoric acid as a catalyst through a condensation polymerization reaction. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding a dispersing agent into a mixture of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and diethanol amine serving as monomers to obtain a reaction solution; adding a catalyst into the reaction solution, uniformly stirring and mixing, and heating to carry out a condensation polymerization reaction; and after the reaction is finished, adjusting the pH value, cooling to room temperature, dialyzing the reaction solution by using a dialysis membrane, evaporating the dialyzed solution to remove the solvent to obtain a crude product, and drying to obtain the scale inhibitor. The scale inhibitor can be used for inhibiting formation of calcium sulfate scales and calcium carbonate scales in an industrial water system containing calcium ions, sulfate ions and carbonate ions, and the scale inhibition rate can reach 95% or above.
