Abstract

The invention discloses a novel universal material testing machine. The testing machine introduces a digital image measuring technology to form a deformation measuring system, and introduces a constant clamping pressure device and series load sensors to form a clamp and load measuring system. The deformation measuring system is based on optical measurement technology and computer image processing,a tag block is shot on the front side of a sample by a camera to measure an overall deformation field, the shooting field of a single camera is reduced on the back side by using a camera array to improve the pixel equivalent so as to achieve amplified measurement of a locating point and improve the measurement resolution and accuracy, and then a strain field in the field of view is measured usinga digital image correlation method. The clamp and load measuring system hydraulically drives a pair of connected piston rods to move relatively, and provides constant pressure; the load is measured by a series of load sensors with large and small ranges, so high measurement resolution and accuracy are achieved for the material tests requiring different load ranges.
