The substation insulator cleaning device comprises a circular ring lasso sleeving an insulator, a water spraying hole formed in the inner wall of the circular ring lasso, a high-pressure water pump used for supplying water to the water spraying hole, a lifting assembly connected with the circular ring lasso and used for driving the circular ring lasso to ascend and descend, a camera used for taking a photo or video for the insulator, and a controller connected with the high-pressure water pump, the lifting assembly and the camera.The substation insulator cleaning device is safe, reliable, easy and convenient to operate, high in cleaning efficiency and good in cleaning effect and works without the need of a power failure; by arranging the camera, the cleaning situation is tracked in real time, the cleaning effect is improved, and invalid cleaning is avoided; and additionally, by forming the water spraying holes in the inner wall of the circular ring lasso, the inner wall, namely the side close to the insulator, of the circular ring lasso is free of protruded parts, and thus the risk of colliding with the insulator in the working process or the lifting process is avoided.
