The high-purity low-strontium low-water barium nitrate provided by the invention is obtained by using low-cost barite and agricultural industrial ammonium nitrate as main raw materials by batch extraction of three simple and controllable steps; and the method specially comprises the following steps:the first step is prefabrication, the agricultural industrial ammonium nitrate reacts with barium sulfide based components obtained by calciniation of the barite to form a barium nitrate solution using barium nitrate as a main solute, a part of easily-separated impurities are adsorbed by activated carbon during boiling according to the characteristics of impurities in the solution, finally directional recrystallization is performed by utilizing the solubility difference of the barium nitrate and strontium nitrate and adopting spectrally-pure barium nitrate crystals in a region which does notoverlap solubility, and therefore the only monocrystal is obtained by strictly controlling the temperature gradient, wherein the only monocrystal is the high-purity low-strontium low-water barium nitrate. The high-purity low-strontium low-water barium nitrate provided by the invention has the advantages of low strontium, low water and high purity.
