[0021] A system and apparatus for converting inventory material to dunnage is disclosed. The present disclosure generally applies to systems and devices in which supply materials, such as inventory materials, are processed. The stock material is processed by a longitudinal crimper that creates creases longitudinally in the stock material to form dunnage, or a transverse crimper that creates creases transversely across the stock material. Inventory material may be stored in rolls (whether drawn from the inside or outside of the roll), wraps, fan-folded sources, or any other suitable form. Stock material can be continuous or perforated. The converting apparatus is operable to drive the inventory material in a first direction, which may be an anti-run-out direction.
