Abstract

The invention provides a SiPM-based surface pollution detector, and belongs to the nuclear radiation detection technology. The detector comprises a detector body, a scintillator, a plurality of SiPM probes and a signal processing module. A plurality of cavities are formed in the detector body, one end of each cavity penetrates the top end of the detector body to form an inlet, and the other end ofeach cavity penetrates the bottom end of the detector body to form an outlet. The scintillator is arranged at the top of the detector body and blocks the inlet. Each outlet is provided with at leastone SiPM probe, and the SiPM probes are used for converting optical signals which are generated by the [alpha] and [beta] ray excitation scintillator and pass through the cavity into electric signals.The signal processing module is used for converting the electric signal into a digital signal. According to the detector, the combination of the small independent cavities and the SiPM probe is utilized, so that the loss of optical signals in the cavities is effectively reduced, and the detection efficiency is effectively improved. Because of the fact that the SiPM probes are distributed dispersedly, the uniformity of the detection efficiency at different positions of the surface of the detector is improved.
