Abstract

The present invention discloses an application of an antifungal drug miconazole in preparations of anti-squamous cell lung carcinoma drugs and cisplatin sensitizers. Due to poor responses of patientswith squamous cell lung carcinoma to commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs and lack of clinical drugs for treatment of the squamous cell lung carcinoma, a need to develop effective therapeutic drugs isurgent. Combining with a concept of a new use of old drugs, azole antifungal drugs commonly used in clinic are screened and the miconazole with a best effect is selected for study. Studies show thatthrough repeated experiments the miconazole can reduce the intracellular reactive oxygen species and thus induce apoptosis of squamous cell lung carcinoma cells and sensitize cisplatin by inhibiting aPI3K / Akt / NOX4 pathway. At the same time, in-vivo experiments in nude mice also prove that the miconazole has an anti-squamous cell lung carcinoma effect and a cisplatin-sensitizing effect. The application of the antifungal drug miconazole in the preparations of the anti-squamous cell lung carcinoma drugs and cisplatin sensitizers provides a certain reference for clinical administration of the patients with the squamous cell lung carcinoma and also clarifies a mechanism of the miconazole for treating the squamous cell lung carcinoma.
