The temporary locking device comprises: stiffening plates, the stiffening plates are arranged at corner points of all box chambers in a steel beam, and the stiffening plates are welded to the inner side of a web of the steel beam; and connecting plates, wherein one ends of the connecting plates are connected with the stiffening plates on the inner side of the steel beam web of the installed steel beam section through bolts, the other ends of the connecting plates are connected with the stiffening plates corresponding to the inner side of the steel beam web of the cantilever hoisting steel beam section through bolts to achieve temporary locking of butt welding of the cantilever construction steel beam section.
