Abstract

A plating layer on the surface of a contact element of an existing electric connector is abraded in the plugging and unplugging process of the contact element. Each reed mounting hole formed in an insulator is composed of a conical hole anda cylindrical hole; a non-uniform-section slotted reed and a spring are arranged in each reed mounting hole; the inner side surfaces of two elastic sheets of each non-uniform-section slotted reed arerespectively provided with a non-uniform-section slotted reed inner plating layer; a contact pin fixed to an upper housing is provided with a contact pin outer plating layer; and the maximum size of the cross section of the contact pin outer plating layer is smaller than or equal to the minimum inner diameter of a hollow circular truncated cone shape defined by the non-uniform-section slotted reedinner plating layers on the inner sides of the two elastic sheets. According to the invention, the taper holes and the non-uniform-section slotted reeds are used to reduce the abrasion of the surfaceof the contact element for realizing electric connection in the plugging and unplugging process, and the non-uniform-section slotted reeds made of a wear-resistant material are used to realize frictional abrasion, so that the service life of the electric connector is prolonged.
