Abstract

The invention provides a double-sided running mobile robot and a control method thereof. The mobile robot comprises a robot body, a moving part, a driving mechanism, a gyroscope and a control unit. The two sets of moving parts are symmetrically located on the two sides of the robot body, and the top ends and the bottom ends of the moving parts both exceed the robot body; the driving mechanism, thegyroscope and the control unit are located in the robot body. The driving mechanism is connected with the moving part and is used for driving the moving part to move in two directions; the gyroscopeis used for collecting posture original data of the robot; and the control unit is electrically connected with the gyroscope and the driving mechanism and is used for identifying the upward surface ofthe robot according to the posture original data and correspondingly controlling the driving action of the driving mechanism. The mobile robot and the control method thereof can adapt to more complexfield environments, the damage rate is reduced and the detection efficiency is improved.
