The invention provides a catalyst for preparing cyclohexylbenzene through hydroalkylation of benzene, and a preparation method and application of the catalyst, belonging to the field of catalytic materials. According to the catalyst for preparing cyclohexylbenzene through hydroalkylation of benzene in the invention, the active component of the catalyst is non-noble metal M which comprises at leastone selected from a group consisting of Fe, Co, Ni and Cu; one selected from a group consisting of an H(beta) molecular sieve, an HY molecular sieve and an H(beta)-HY composite molecular sieve is used as a carrier; and the mass content of the non-noble metal M is 0.1%-40%. The catalyst provided by the invention takes non-noble metal as the active component, so the catalyst has price advantages and is reduced in production cost; and the catalyst has good low-temperature activity and high target product selectivity. Compared with the prior art, the catalyst provided by the invention has the advantages that the selectivity of cyclohexylbenzene prepared by catalyzing hydroalkylation of benzene is as high as 97.3% at a relatively low working temperature (which can be as low as 130 DEG C), so the production cost of cyclohexylbenzene prepared through hydroalkylation of benzene is greatly reduced; and the catalyst is suitable for large-scale industrial production.
