Equipment disclosed in the invention comprises an air compressor, a PSA and a nitrogen storage tank, wherein the PSA comprises a tower A and a tower B, the air compressor is connected with the tower A and the tower B, the nitrogen storage tank is connected to a gas using port, a flow meter is arranged on the gas using port, a valve E is arranged on a pipeline between the tower A and the tower B, thevalve E is connected with the nitrogen storage tank through a pipeline, and a valve K is arranged on a pipeline between the valve E and the nitrogen storage tank. The method comprises the following steps: after gas use at the gas use port is stopped, the working states of the tower A and the tower B are allowed to be an adsorption state and a regeneration state separately, nitrogen generated by the adsorption tower is used for purging the regeneration tower, all valves of the regeneration tower are closed after purging, and the adsorption tower is converted into a regeneration tower after thework of the adsorption tower is finished; gas is taken from the nitrogen storage tank for purging the tower A and the tower B until the internal environments of the tower A and the tower B are pure nitrogen environments.
