Abstract

A connector comprises a base and a cover. The base is formed with a card-accommodation portion in which a card is accommodatable. The cover is attached to the base via a hinge mechanism to be locatable at a close position. The cover located at the close position covers, at least in part, the card-accommodation portion from above. The cover has two card-holding portions. The base has two regulatingportions which correspond to the card-holding portions, respectively. Each of the card-holding portions has an outside portion. When the cover is located at the close position, each of the regulatingportions is located inward of the outside portion of the corresponding card-holding portion in the pitch direction (Y-direction) and is located at a position different from that of the outside portion of the corresponding card-holding portions in the front-rear direction (X-direction). The connector provided by the invention can reduce the displacement of the card in the pitching direction.
