The method comprises the steps: calculating the phase difference of a first direction and the phase difference of a second direction for an original image when the object distance in the original image is smaller than a preset object distance threshold value, and enabling the first direction and the second direction to form a preset included angle, wherein the preset object distance threshold value is the minimum object distance in an overlapping field angle range of a camera in the electronic equipment; and determining a target phase difference from the phase difference in the first direction and the phase difference in the second direction, calculating depth information of the original image according to the target phase difference, and generating a depth map of the original image according to the depth information. The target phase difference is determined from the phase difference in the first direction and the phase difference in the second direction, the depth information is calculated according to the target phase difference, and then the depth map is generated, so that the accuracy of the finally generated depth map can be greatly improved.
