The lap 3 is brought to the lap splicing device 6 by rotating the lap drum 2 . The lap splicing device 6 is used to splice the starting point of the lap 3 of the new lap drum 2 to the end of the lap on the empty lap drum. For a better understanding of these processes, the lap splicing device is only schematically shown here. During the splicing process, lap splicing is performed by the lap splicing device 6, placing the start of the new lap 3 from the new lap drum 2 to the end of the old lap web.
