Abstract

A structural joint for offshore frame constructions comprising structural members (1, 2) is disclosed. The structural joint between the structural members (1, 2) comprises a fork part (3), an ear part (4), and a pin (5). The fork part and said ear part comprise a bore, which bore is arranged for receiving said pin. A method for the assembly of offshore frame constructions comprising structural members (1, 2), and use of the structural joint in an offshore wind turbine foundation for the connection between the columns and braces of the structure is also disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a structural joint for an offshore structure, in particular a structure of an offshore wind turbine. [0002] Furthermore the invention relates to a method for assembling the offshore frame structure. [0003] Furthermore the invention relates to the use of such structural joints. Background technique [0004] Offshore wind turbines can be installed on different types of foundations. In shallow water depths, monopile foundations are usually preferred, but in greater water depths, foundations need to provide sufficient stiffness for framed structures. The foundations of floating offshore wind turbines are often also designed as framed buildings. [0005] Such framed structures can be made as lattice structures or "jacket" structures such as tripods, tetrahedral floats, or other types of structures assembled at joints from columns or brackets. Frame buildings generally have good mechanical properties due to their high...
