Embodiment Construction

[0028] figure 2 Denotes a flanged assembly comprising two joint flanges according to the invention, the upper part represents a split jointed flange and the lower part is a single joint flange. The cross-sectional view represents an axisymmetric arrangement with respect to the center line B, the high pressure pipes 11 and 12 being connected. The inner part 13 of the separate joint flange comprising the inner part 13 , threads 14 and outer part 15 with holes 16 for bolts 17 is shrink fit onto the peripheral part 18 of the high pressure pipe 11 . Shrink fittings are therefore suitable for absorbing all longitudinal forces acting in the axial direction. The separate mating flanges are secured by a stop ring 19 which is screwed onto the threaded end 20 of the high pressure pipe and tightened against the inner part 13 of said flange. The two high pressure tubes are sealed from the environment by means of a sealing lens 21 .

Abstract

The invention relates to a flange connection for double-jacket high-pressure pipes for use in the range of from 300 to 10000 bar, wherein in at least one of the two flange connections on the high-pressure pipe end the jacket pipe end is configured as a joint flange (22). Said joint flange is fixed on the periphery of the high-pressure pipe (11, 12) by means of a joint connection (18) which is adapted to assume any longitudinal forces acting in the axial direction of the high-pressure pipe. The joint flange is further provided with the required bores (16) for the studs (17).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to flange joints for jacketed high-pressure pipes with rated pressures ranging from 300 to 10,000 bar. Such jacketed high-pressure pipes are used preferably, but not exclusively, in the production of so-called "low-density polyethylene", hereinafter denoted LDPE. They consist of two tubes inserted into each other: the inner tube transports the product and the outer tube transports the heat transfer medium. In some applications this heat transfer medium is used to maintain the temperature in a heat-tracing system, in other cases it is used to increase or decrease the temperature of the product conveyed in the inner tube. Background technique [0002] In order to withstand high pressure and / or high temperature, temperature changes and thermal stress, it is common to use integral and high-strength materials for pipelines, valves and fittings in high-pressure engineering. The processing of these components is very complicated, especi...
