Embodiment Construction

[0037] FIG. 1 is an example showing an external structure of a robotic animal according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 shows an example of an electrical structure thereof.

[0038] In this embodiment, the robot animal is constituted as an animal form with four legs, such as a dog, wherein the leg units 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D are mounted to the body unit 2 at the four corners respectively, and A head unit 4 and a tail unit 5 are attached to the body unit 2 at the front and rear ends.

[0039] The tail unit 5 is extended from a base 5B mounted on the upper surface of the body unit 2 so that the tail unit 5 can bend and swing with two degrees of freedom.

[0040] Inside the body unit 2, a controller 10 is installed for overall control of the robot animal, a battery 11 is used as a power source for the robot animal, and a battery sensor 12 and a thermal sensor are installed. 13 internal sensor unit 14 .

[0041] On the head unit 4, a microphone 15 as an ear, a CC...

Abstract

A sound processing apparatus capable of easily registering an unregistered word. Evading enlargement of a dictionary, a word not registered in a dictionary can easily be registered in the dictionary. In a clustering block (29), among clusters which have clustered a predetermined unregistered word, a cluster (detection cluster) to which a new unregistered word is to be added as a new member is detected. The new unregistered word is made a new member of the detection cluster and the detection cluster is divided in accordance with members of the detection cluster. Thus, an unregistered word is clustered with those acoustically similar. Furthermore, in a maintenance block 31, in accordance with the clustering result, a word dictionary is updated. The present invention can be applied to a robot having a sound recognition apparatus.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a speech recognition device, and more particularly, to a speech recognition device capable of easily updating a dictionary in which words or phrases to be recognized are recorded. Background technique [0002] In a conventional speech recognition device, speech uttered by a user is recognized by referring to a dictionary in which words to be recognized are recorded. [0003] Therefore, in the voice recognition apparatus, only words registered in the dictionary (hereinafter such words are simply referred to as registered words) can be recognized, and words not registered in the dictionary cannot be recognized. Here, words that are not registered in the dictionary are called unregistered words. In conventional speech recognition devices, if the user's pronunciation includes an unrecorded word, the unrecorded word is recognized as a certain recorded word (recorded word) in the dictionary, so the recognition of the unrecor...
