example 1

[0040] Manufacturing has Figure 1 to 3 Radial tires for motorcycles of the structure shown. The size of this tire is "185 / 55ZR17". The carcass includes cords formed of nylon fibers and formed at an angle of 90 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction. The first belt layer includes a first cord formed of aramid fiber and having an α angle of 25 degrees. The second belt layer includes a second cord formed of aramid fiber and having a β angle of 25 degrees. The fineness of the first cord and the second cord is 1500 / 2dtex. The density of the first cord and the second cord is 35. The third belt layer includes a third cord formed of aramid fibers and spirally wound. The fineness of the third cord is 1500 / 2dtex. The density of the third cord is 50. The ratio of the width Wb of the belt layer to the width Wt of the tread is 90%.

example 2

[0042] The tire according to Example 2 was obtained in the same manner as the tire in Example 1, except that the materials of the first cord and the second cord were set as shown in Table 1.

Abstract

A belt (12) of a tire includes a first belt ply (28), a second belt ply (30) and a third belt ply (32). The first belt ply (28) has a first cord (34). The first cord (34) has an angle +- with respect to a circumferential direction which is equal to or greater than 15 degrees and is equal to or smaller than 40 degrees. The second belt ply (30) has a second cord (38). The second cord (38) has an angle with respect to the circumferential direction which is equal to or greater than 15 degrees and is equal to or smaller than 40 degrees. The second cord (38) is inclined in a reverse direction to the first cord (34) about an equator plane. The third belt ply (32) has a third cord (42) . The third cord (42) is wound spirally and is extended substantially in the circumferential direction. A ratio of a width (Wb) of the belt (12) to a width (Wt) of a tread is equal to or higher than 80% and is equal to or lower than 100%.

Description

[0001] This application claims the priority of the Japanese patent application No. 2004-290265 filed on October 1, 2004, and the entire content of the patent application is now incorporated into this case. Technical field [0002] The invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire to be installed on a motorcycle. The present invention particularly relates to an improvement in the tire belt layer. Background technique [0003] Traditional radial tires for motorcycles include a belt layer formed by two cut layers between the carcass and the tread. Each slice includes cords inclined at an angle of 15 to 40 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction. The cords of the first slicing layer and the cords of the second slicing layer are inclined in opposite directions with respect to the equatorial plane. In recent years, motorcycles have high performance and can achieve high-speed driving. The tire including the cut layer has insufficient stability when traveling straight at high...
