More particularly, the present invention relates to viscous and creamy fabric softening compositions comprising softening agents and associative thickeners having a low phase volume. Background of the invention [0002] The use of liquid fabric conditioning compositions (ie, liquid fabric softeners) to soften treated fabrics is well known. Such compositions are typically added to fabrics during the rinse stage of the laundry process. Consumers prefer viscous and creamy liquid fabric softeners, however, there are many difficulties in achieving this goal, especially with respect to the dispensability and storage stability of the compositions.
