Abstract

The invention provides a cleaning implement (10) for cleaning a hard surface. The cleaning implement (10) includes a mop head (20) pivotably connected to a first handle section (130) and a fluid transfer mechanism that is connected to a second handle section (230) of the implement (10). When the cleaning implement (10) is unassembled and stored in a package (100, 200), the first handle section (130) is disconnected from the second handle section (230). When a user removes the cleaning implement (10) from the package (100, 200), he or she can assemble the cleaning implement (10).

Description

technical field [0001] In one embodiment, the present invention relates to a cleaning implement for cleaning hard surfaces. [0002] In another embodiment, the invention relates to a cleaning kit comprising a cleaning tool in one package. Background of the invention [0003] The literature is awash with products capable of cleaning hard surfaces such as tile floors, hardwood floors, countertops, and the like. In the field of floor cleaning, a number of mop devices and other cleaning implements have been described which are segmented to reduce the size of the package. A user can assemble the cleaning tool by connecting the parts together. These cleaning implements include a mop head pivotally connected to a handle, a fluid delivery device operably connected or connectable to the h...
