Abstract

The present invention relates to an air purifier for reducing gaseous pollutants and unpleasant odors in enclosed spaces. The device comprises a housing with an ambient air inlet and a treated air outlet, an ozone generator, a fan and / or motor arranged to propel the treated air toward the outlet, and an electric heating element configured to raise the air temperature before its release into the environment. The ambient air first passes through the ozone generator and is subsequently propelled by the fan and / or motor, allowing the ozonizer to be cooled during operation. The electric heating element contributes to mitigating the effects of the ozone.The unit includes a control system connected to a proximity sensor for detecting human presence and a sensor for detecting gases associated with unpleasant odors, such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methane, amines, and mercaptans. The control system is configured to activate the unit using dual activation logic, in response to the detection of human presence and / or the detection of gas concentrations exceeding predetermined thresholds. Additionally, the system can deactivate the ozone generator when levels approach an unsafe threshold, enabling a safe ventilation mode without ozone production, in which air continues to be circulated.
