A swing arm for a vehicle

Abstract

This disclosure relates to a swing arm for a vehicle. The swing arm comprises a first arm and a second arm, each defined with a front end portion and a rear end portion. A support member is provided between the first and second arms to connect them. The front end portions of the first and second arms are adapted to pivotally mount to a vehicle body frame. Furthermore, the rear end portions of the first and second arms are adapted to rotatably support a vehicle wheel. A motor is disposed between the first and second arms and swings with the swing arm. This support member configuration between the first and second arms facilitates accommodating the motor when additional battery capacity must be accommodated within a vehicle storage space.
