Electrical junction box with self-guided flap deployment mechanism, perimeter slots and pre-punched access points

Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrical junction box for installing outlets, switches, or other electrical mechanisms in walls, panels, or hollow surfaces. The box comprises a body, an extended outer rim, and clamping tabs actuated by screws housed in through-channels. At least one tab is associated with an alignment and self-guiding ramp configured to produce its angular displacement from a folded position to a transverse clamping position during screw actuation. The perimeter structure includes upper and lower U-shaped recesses intended to provide space for mounting the electrical mechanism and attaching a cover by pressure or screws. Furthermore, the upper and side walls include pre-punched removable access points for wiring openings and pre-punched tabs delimited by fold lines for controlled folding.
